Nvidia buys (most of) Groq for $20B cash; largest execuhire everExecuhires first started in Aug 2024 and again in Jun 2025, but it seems Christmas Eve 2025 isn’t too late for a hat-trick. In a 5 sentence post, Groq confirmed it’s “non-exclusive licensing agreement” for most of Groq’s leadership team to join Nvidia, leaving behind GroqCloud, while the current CFO will become the CEO of the old Groq, for reported total consideration of $20 billion cash.
